L'appel de la montagne challenge for the benefit of organizations in the region
A panoramic gondola ride for mental health.
In collaboration with the Charlevoix Mental Health and Addiction Roundtable and Bell Let's Talk, we are pleased to announce the return of L'appel de la montagne challenge on October 1, 2023. This annual fundraising event supports six regional organizations working in the field of mental health.
100% of the cost of round-trip panoramic gondola rides will be donated to regional mental health organizations. The proceeds from ticket sales will be matched by Groupe Le Massif, up to a total of $5,000.

By taking a gondola ride on October 1, hiking, trail running, and mountain biking enthusiasts of all skill levels contribute to their own well-being and that of others while enjoying the vibrant colors of Le Massif de Charlevoix.

Educational and Creative Workshops for Everyone
Whether you're a couple, a family, friends, or coworkers, join in on workshops exploring the impact of different brain-secreted hormones in various mountain settings, starting at 10 am.
At the summit and midway:

Meet representatives from participating organizations under the tent near the mountain summit chalet;

Oxytocin: Socialize over hot chocolate on the Bell Terrace at the summit, with a DJ starting at 11 am;

Dopamine: Contribute to a collaborative finger-painting project at the Le Massif Express gondola mid-station.
On the Le Button trail:

Endorphin: Discover its benefits through physical activity, at the trail entrance;

Cortisol: Learn stress and anxiety management through breathing techniques, halfway along the trail;

Serotonin: Gain awareness of the importance of gratitude and self-realization in the release of the happiness hormone, at the trail's highest point.

Le Massif offers hiking routes to challenge yourself at your own pace throughout the day. You can complete a complete ascent of the mountain to a more family-friendly route. Choose between the Go the Legs Challenge, Moment of pleasure or Photo Safari, detailed below.
Access to the hiking trails is free. However, you must purchase your gondola ride ticket to contribute to the mental health cause.
Stefie Shock | DJ Set
2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Head to the summit terrace in the afternoon to enjoy the outdoors in the ambiance of Stefie Shock. This Quebec singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and DJ has released eight albums since 2000. Recognized and awarded for his songwriting and composition, Stefie Shock charms with his energetic and festive concerts.

Moment of pleasure
A hike at the base of the mountain, accessible to all via the trails La Promenade and La butte ronde.
A perfectly adapted hike for all levels, to do with family, solo or friends. Arrive directly at the top of the mountain and take the gondola down to the bottom of the trails. Head to La Promenade trail to begin your hike which will take you directly to the magnificent view of the St. Lawrence River from La Butte Ronde. This is a stone dust trail with no obstacles that leads to the viewpoint of the small round hill at an altitude of 258 m. You will discover an exceptional view of the St. Lawrence River and the mountain in a unique forest ecosystem.
Photo Safari
The perfect walk for the family on the Buton trail which will lead you straight to the brand new belvedere with one of the most beautiful views in Charlevoix, on 360 degrees.
A photo safari trail awaits you along the Buton Trail to admire the multiple viewpoints on the St. Lawrence River. With the brand-new lookout at the top of Le Buton, this trail definitely becomes the perfect hike. This emblematic and historic promontory of Le Massif de Charlevoix is a 30-metre rise made in September 2001 with the earth from the snowmaking basin. The goal of this development was to become an Olympic standard trail for downhill ski races. Today, this lookout offers an impressive and unique 360 degree panoramic view.

Go the legs !
Complete ascent of the mountain with the trails La Promenade and Les Crêtes.
Go directly to the top of the mountain and take the gondola down to the bottom of the slopes. Head to the La Promenade trail to begin your hike. Once on the La Promenade trail, take the Les Crêtes trail which will take you to the top of the mountain. This is a narrow trail with obstacles and a large vertical drop that offers magnificent views of the St. Lawrence River and the small Butte Ronde.
