Le Massif reaffirms its commitment to local students

Programmes scolaires

Le Massif de Charlevoix is renewing and enhancing its school partnerships for the next two years with École Saint-François in Petite-Rivière-Saint-François and Centre éducatif Saint-Aubin in Baie-Saint-Paul. These enriched school programs aim to provide students with lasting, equitable, and inspiring access to the mountain.

The renewed agreement with the Centre éducatif Saint-Aubin now includes two annual field trips for all high school students, with access to exclusive discounted rates on ski tickets, lessons, and equipment rentals. Students enrolled in the Mountain Sports program will continue to benefit from a preferred rate on a season ski pass, which will once again include fall mountain biking outings. In addition, Le Massif’s Human Resources team will visit the school twice a year to introduce students to the wide range of career opportunities available at the mountain.

At Petite-Rivière-Saint-François Elementary School, students enrolled in the Iniski and Ski-study programs will have free access to all related outings. In addition, every student at the school will now benefit from one annual mountain field trip. Discounted rates for equipment rentals and lessons will be standardized across all programs, and supervision requirements for chaperones will be adjusted to ensure better support and safety for student groups.

« The mountain is an extraordinary learning environment where young people can develop valuable skills while being encouraged to adopt healthy lifestyle habits. Our goal is to create the right conditions for them to reach their full potential by continually improving the school programs we’ve offered since 2022 » says Charles-Antoine Choquette, Vice President and General Manager of Groupe Le Massif.

Beyond the classroom
Several initiatives have been put in place to ensure that the broader community can enjoy the mountain either free of charge or at a discounted rate. These include the Petite-Rivière-Saint-François Residents’ Days, held three times a year, reciprocal season pass access with Mont Grand-Fonds every January, and ongoing support for local ski clubs and regional organizations. The 3-Day Local Pass will also return for presale this fall, giving all residents of the Charlevoix Regional county municipality exclusive access to the best lift ticket discount available.
