Sledding

A classic Le Massif must-do. See the mountain from a wildly different perspective. Our 7.5 km sled run is a fast, fun, and gripping experience of luging down the face of Mont Liguori. The scenery is spectacular and the turns are tight!

Activities

Sledding with cat ski

An exciting activity for the whole family. Upon meeting at the departure point, a snowcat will whisk you up to the start of the 7.5-km-long luge track.

Details 

The descent is thrilling but not continuous. There are several stops along the way that require walking a few metres. You'll even stop halfway at a warm chalet for a well-deserved break.

  • Online advanced reservations are required
  • Arrive at the specified meeting point at the top of the mountain 30 minutes before departure:

  • Minimum age requirement: 10 years old
  • We strongly encourage adult supervision for children ages 10–14
  • A guardian's signature is required for participants ages 10–17
  • Sledding duration: Approximately 2 hours
  • Depart from the summit, just behind the Snow School
  • Sled trail is a dedicated, groomed, natural snow-covered trail
  • Transportation is via snowcat from the Summit Lodge to the trailhead
  • Helmets are mandatory(field hockey and bicycle helmets are prohibited, only ski helmets are allowed)

Sledding + Snowshoeing

Combine two winter activities for double the fun, with an added bonus of outdoor exercise.

Start with an invigorating 3 km snowshoe hike led by a guide who will take you to the start of your sled run.

  • Wear light clothing for the hike and pack warmer layers in a backpack for the descent
  • Bring water
  • Helmets are mandatory (field hockey and bicycle helmets are prohibited, only ski helmets are allowed)
  • The headlamp will be lent to you by Le Massif
  • If you have your own snowshoes, we strongly recommend that you bring them. Snowshoes will be provided on site
  • Dress warmly, nights or evenings are always colder

Night Sledding with cat ski

Discover Le Massif by headlamp in one of the most exciting, unique ways. Travel via snowcat to the top of our 7.5-km-long sled trail and descend with your luge and nothing but your headlamp lighting the way. A one-of-a-kind Québec experience!

Important

Arrive 30 minutes before your departure to the top of the mountain. 

To make sure you have a great time, remember to bring:

Warm boots, toque, and mitts
Warm winter outerwear
Goggles/sunglasses
Helmet (field hockey and bicycle helmets are prohibited, only ski helmets are allowed)
