Regulations, terms and penalties

In this policy, the term "Lessor" refers to Hébergement Le Massif de Charlevoix, while the term "Lessee" refers to any person entering into a contract with Hébergement Le Massif de Charlevoix for the rental of a lodging unit managed by it.

The regulations, terms of use, and penalties described below accompany the Booking Policy for Hébergement Le Massif de Charlevoix.

1. REGULATIONS

  1. The number of individuals permitted per lodging unit, as stated at the end of the agreement, may not be exceeded at any time.

  2. The use of fireworks of any kind is strictly prohibited on the entire premises serviced by the lessor.

  3. To ensure safety and preserve the forest habitat of Le Massif, open fires are strictly prohibited throughout the entire territory. Non-compliance will result in penalties.

  4. Excessive noise or loud music will not be tolerated indoors or outdoors in a lodging unit. A curfew is in effect starting from 10:00 PM.

  5. Smoking inside a unit is strictly prohibited.

  6. No animals are permitted inside or outside a unit, with the risk of expulsion without reimbursement of the remaining stay (unless otherwise indicated by the lessor).

  7. Parking in streets and on lawns is strictly prohibited.

  8. Snowmobiling or ATV riding is strictly prohibited at Le Massif de Charlevoix.

  9. No motorized vehicles such as trailers, campers, vans, or others are allowed without prior authorization.

  10. Using an electric vehicle charging station other than the one assigned to the rented unit is prohibited.

  11. Municipal regulations must be adhered to at all times.

  12. Moving furniture inside the lodging unit is prohibited.

  13. It is also forbidden to move, unplug, or modify the electronic installations included in the lodging unit (television, DVD player, modem, router, internet, chromecast).

  14. The lessee is responsible for disposing of waste and recycling from their rental unit in the designated containers. Fees will be charged for non-compliance with this rule.

  15. Provided body care products must remain in the unit, under penalty of fines.

2. SPA USAGE TERMS

  1. If the unit is equipped with a spa, there are inherent risks associated with its use, such as the risk of drowning, heat stroke, or slipping on slippery surfaces due to user splashes. The use of the spa is at the lessee's own risk.

  2. The lessee must inform other invited users in their unit of these risks.

  3. It is imperative to CHECK THE WATER TEMPERATURE BEFORE ENTERING THE SPA. IT MUST NOT EXCEED 38°C / 100.4°F.

  4. The maximum number of persons allowed in the spa is six (6) individuals at a time. It is advisable not to exceed this number to prevent spa overflow, which could damage the pumps. It is also recommended not to use the spa alone for safety reasons.

  5. This contract releases the lessor and its agents from any liability in the event of harm resulting from spa use.

  6. The lessor disclaims any liability for any material or physical damage, loss, theft, or alteration.

  7. Before bathing, it is mandatory to take a shower with swimwear to remove any traces of soap, laundry detergent, shampoo, deodorant, sunscreen, fly oil, etc. This will prevent the formation of a soapy foam layer on the water's surface and an emergency drainage during the next stay, resulting in a penalty as described in the corresponding article of this policy below.

  8. If the user has long hair, it must be tied above the nape of the neck.

  9. It is prohibited to smoke, eat, drink, or consume any other food in the spa.

  10. Beware of drowning: the user must immediately exit the spa if they feel uncomfortable, dizzy, or drowsy. Hot water can cause hyperthermia and loss of consciousness. Using the spa in conjunction with alcohol, drugs, or medication can lead to loss of consciousness.

  11. It is strictly forbidden to use the spa in case of skin lesions, plantar warts, etc., and it is strongly recommended to shower upon returning to the room and moisturize the skin.

  12. The spa cover must always remain closed between baths to prevent chlorine evaporation and debris accumulation in the water.

  13. The chlorine floater must remain in the spa at all times.

  14. A penalty will be charged to the lessee in case of emergency spa drainage due to improper use and/or failure to comply with spa usage conditions.

3. PENALTIES

  1. Failure to comply with the rules and rental conditions stipulated will automatically result in a fine equivalent to the security deposit. Any damage to the equipment will be charged at cost, deducted from the security deposit. In case of major damages exceeding the value of the security deposit, the balance will be billed to the person responsible for the rental.

  2. The presence of animals inside or outside the unit without prior authorization will result in expulsion from the stay without the possibility of a refund.

  3. Failure to comply with the curfew will result in a minimum fine of $250 following intervention by the security guard.

  4. A fee of $200 plus taxes will be charged for emergency spa drainage.
