The project fans out over 20 kilometres of riverside land along the St. Lawrence River and 120 square kilometres of mountain property (public and private) in the Charlevoix region, near Quebec City (85km) – itself within short flight distance from Montreal (30 min.), and Toronto (1h30min.).

Sites are interlinked by tourist train, with the railway offering unparalleled scenery as it hugs the coast throughout the 130km trip between Quebec City and La Malbaie. Onsite intermodal means of conveyance are therefore the project’s distinguishing conceptual feature. The numerous ways of exploring the territory (hiking trails, ski, sled & bicycle trails, river taxi, dogsled, horseback) are part of the overall experience.

Lastly, more than 100 activities and educational workshops focused on culture, science, sports, adventure and wellness are proposed, offering an evolving experience. Experimenting with the territory beckons and pushes towards discovery, and nourishes body, soul and mind.

LA BASE - base of Le Massif de Petite-Rivière-Saint-François
At the western edge of Petite-Rivière-Saint-François's village, at the base of Le Massif Ski Area.
The site marks the shift to salt water the portal to the oceans. Discovering the coast’s beauty, and having a better understanding of the accompanying phenomena are goals that are central to development and planning. The St. Lawrence River is appreciated in all its splendour, from its winds, storms, depths, river banks and lighthouses, to its salt water currents and swirls of fog. Blues that fade to white, according to the day’s mood.

LES CRÊTES - summit of Le Massif de Petite-Rivière-Saint-François
In the heart of Le Massif’s inhabited forest, on the site of the current ski area. The highest vertical drop east of the Canadian Rockies, Le Massif is presently celebrating its 25 th anniversary. Owned by Daniel Gauthier since September 2002.
Planning - both original and accessible - brings about the discovery of mysteries linked to this nordic and isolated location’s natural phenomena. Didactical and lyrical activities offer a blend of adventure and science, in complete simplicity.

LA FERME Baie-Saint-Paul
An authentic farming estate in the heart of Baie-Saint-Paul, once operated by the Order of Les Petites Franciscaines de Marie. Owned by Daniel Gauthier since April 2005.
The earth is the symbol of life. It bears and it nourishes. In its image, la Ferme seeks to protect, welcome, and share. Site development and planning aim to establish an intimate bond between man and the earth which sustains him.
