You are invited to join our Honorary President, Mr Pierre Lavoie, keynote speaker, athlete and founder of le Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie, on March 9 2013 for the first edition of the ENDURO-LUGE Challenge, on the trails of Le Massif de Charlevoix.
Create your own team of 4 persons and join this new sports challenge. Registration is $1000 and the day’s profits all go to Horizon Charlevoix, an organzation that helps the region’s young people have access to outdoor sports.

First edition of the ENDURO-LUGE Challenge
In its very first season, the Enduro-Luge Challenge will test your endurance with a race course that includes snowshoeing, a rodeling and running.
Held in the enduro format, this race against the clock has your team of four (4) participants compete on-trail in three disciplines: The first leg consists of a 3km snowshoe run, followed by a 7.5km on-snow sled run and the last leg is a 1.5km Nordic race. A total of 780m of vertical with plunging riverside views must be descended by all participating teams. Hydration stations will be set up at various on-mountain locations, with an arrival corral at the end of the course to welcome teams as they arrive.
Each team must include at least one female participant. Teams must show solidarity and remain together throughout the event. The team that completes the course with the fastest time will be crowned the winner of this, the first edition of the Horizon Charlevoix ENDURO-LUGE Challenge! The activity will be followed by a friendly Awards ceremony, social and dinner at the Base Chalet.
HORIZON CHARLEVOIX
The ENDURO-LUGE Challenge has been organized to help raise funds for Horizon Charlevoix, whose mission is to collect funds to help promote, support, offer easy access and finance outdoor sports activities for young people residing in the Capitale nationale administrative area, and particularly those residing on Charlevoix territory.
