In fall 2004, a quiet Franco-Ontarian took to the stage at Festival international de la chanson de Granby.
Damien Robitaille and his biting texts instantly won everyone over, taking home almost every honour, including first prize. The next year he did it all again, this time at Francouvertes de Montréal.
In the blink of an eye, there was a real buzz around his name. And he had quite the repertoire, too, adding his own brand of the absurd to everyday life to come up with the very funny Porc-épic and Bric-à-brac, for example.
