Ingrid grew up in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region of Québec, an illegitimate daughter of the Desjardins, Fersens, Hardys, and the other monuments of song in France in Québec whose poetry she immersed herself in.
She developed a passion for words from a very young age, laying out her texts on the black and white of the family piano and composing her very first songs from the tender age of 17.
Now 26, armed with a piano of her own and sometimes surrounded by a string quartet, Ingrid captivates audiences as she follows in the footsteps of her idols, with a style all her own and a poetry rich in imagery, sometimes humorous, sometimes simple and uncluttered.
