National Training Center
Le Massif National Alpine Skiing Downhill Training Center
In 2001, with the financial support of the provincial and federal governments, the Société de développement du Massif proceeded with the construction of the National Alpine Skiing Downhill Training Center, on Cap Maillard.

Located on La Charlevoix trail, the Training Center is a unique site where Canada’s elite skiers, along with foreign nationals, now train for downhill and Super G events on a perfectly safe trail. Its safety nets make it the only site in North America equipped with security features of this kind, where athletes can train all season long. Including the 35-meter mound, it can host Women’s Downhill World Cup events. All disciplines are homologated on the trail. The challenge is to have La Charlevoix discovered worldwide, with a first World Cup event of its own.
