Racing Team
Le Club de compétition Le Massif is a non-profit organization, independent of the ski area, managed by a board of directors comprised of parents.
Our Mission
Le Club de compétition Le Massif wishes to convey its passion for alpine skiing to young people, and help them perfect their technical skills.
Thanks to optimal supervision provided by a team of highly competent, enthusiastic coaches, young athletes achieve their full potential.
In their time spent training at Le Massif, young skiers have a chance to develop a team spirit, a taste for self-surpassment and of course, solid friendships.
The Club makes the most of all the advantages offered by an exceptional mountain, helping each skier meet with constant improvement and excel in diverse ski conditions – whether on course, in powder, bumps or off piste, etc.
WHO ARE WE?
Founded in the late 90s and with thirty or so members to its roster, Le Club de compétition Le Massif offers young people who feel passionately about alpine skiing an opportunity to train in an enchanting setting, under the leadership of skilled coaches.
CLOSE SUPERVISION
Head Coach Patrick Parenteau has a Level III high-performance coaching certificate from the Canadian Ski Coaches Federation, and many years experience in Labrador, Ontario and Alberta. While sharing their passion for the sport with your young athlete, he and his team know precisely what it takes to turn your child into an elite skier.
Owing to a ratio of eight skiers to one coach, children enjoy supervision of rare quality. No matter their calibre, they are closely monitored and receive all the attention they require from coaches, who understand exactly how to stimulate these young athletes, and see to it that their abilities are developed to reach optimal performance levels. As well, young Club members have the opportunity to watch the crème de la crème on snow at provincial, national and international racing events held on Le Massif’s renowned La Charlevoix trail – which further motivates these young athletes to surpass themselves.
